Road Clean Up
Six members of the NWRA met on Sunday October 19 2014 at 9:30am for the annual road cleanup on Highway 138. From Gravel Bin to Horseshoe Bend, nine miles of roadside are cleared of trash, bottles, cans and other sundry items. Wolf Creek Job Corps has sent a crew of young people out to help the club for the last few years and this year, seven young men and their supervisor, John Strode, came to help. Everyone split into teams of two and cleaned a mile of road. Many bags of trash were collected and left for ODOT to pick up. ODOT provided equipment to make the job easier (signs, reflective vests, trash pickers and garbage bags) After the group was done a lunch was enjoyed at Gravel Bin Raft Takeout.

North Umpqua River Susan Creek Clean Up
April 12 2014
Eight NWRA members met with Ariel from BLM at Susan Creek boat ramp for a morning of brushing and grass removal. Also joining us were the BLM photographer, his wife and very helpful 4 y.o. We got all the work done in a couple of hours and we were off to Bolder Flat to put our boats in. 6 boats and 6 boaters, 1900cfs was a perfect flow.
Thanks to Brian Whitham for organizing with Ariel for the boat ramp clean up effort.
